actually it really isnt a combination of those, its based off that warhammer miniatures game universe, i have the original dawn of war and its very entertaining

still, i think you can see where i'm coming from. it looks like a meld of a lot of the RTS games out there, whether by coincidence or not. the 3 races and 1 super race thing is actually kind of like C&C 3, but again, i dont know which one was conceptualized first.

only titles that i now of to be coming out over the next few years that i WILL buy are: Halo Recon, Cod 6 (and if they go back to WWII after that, fuck them) Mass Effect 2, Diablo 3 and KotOR 3 (still sketchy info on that). at any rate, i'm going to be "in the red" in terms of video game purchases (by my standards) over the next year or two.

care to discuss any of those titles? or i did watch some of the other videos and did some research on DoW2 if you want to keep going with that

the warhammer universe stuff predates everything else by about 10 years, but i definately understand your point. Its actually 4 of like 8 or 9 races, so expansions are nearly guarenteed.

Im really kicking myself for not posting this when i had the chance, but the standalone expansion to the original DOW went on sale last weekend for 4 dollars (instead of the normal 20, but it was a one weekend only sale), i really should have given the heads up because it was definately worth it, since playing it i definately would say that it is one of the most intense strategy games ive ever played. Im really hoping the sequel captures that intensity and improves on it (which is probably why they ran that promotion so close to the release date of the sequell)

Mass Effect 2, dear god jesus when does that come out? Have you seen any of it yet? i haven't. Im not sure if ill have any available funds for it, since ive only saved enough bestbuy cards/christmas money to buy starcraft 2 after my binge on my new comp.

Halo Recon i know nothing about, although im not really as engrossed into the halo series as some. Diablo 3 is scheduled for release late this year if im not mistaken, but i think its pretty safe to plan on that being pushed back. Kotor 3 i would by in a second, even if it meant selling sperm, unless its an mmorpg, which would totally kill it for me. COD 6 i could take or leave, i still play the original on pc every now any then

i havent heard anything about mass effect 2, i just know that it's going to be a trilogy.

recon is supposedly going to be the adventures of one of those black, helljumper marines in the new mombasa area after the chief is fucking around in god knows where. basically, it will involve the urban warfare and actual defense of earth in guerilla style warfare that was COMPLETELY NEGLECTED in 2 and 3. plus, you have the health of your standard fps character (no shields and unbreakable limbs) so it should be more realistic. i'm actually really looking forward to it.

D3 will not be ready by whatever initial date they give it, i agree. the p2p idea has been pretty much but to rest by the online community, but that doesnt really mean shit as the decision lies with Blizzard.

Kotor 3 is going to be back in the hands of BioWare, which is good. i heard that they are working on an unnamed lucas arts project (K3) and a mmorpg. however, they have never said if these projects are one and the same, the wording is really vague. i'd love to see a live community for kotor though.

CoD 6 is going to be Modern Warfare 2, which is the shit for me. CoD 4 had the most solid campaign i ever played, even if it was a total rip off of black hawk down and any tom clancy game. online, it was the most fun i had on live since Halo 2. i can see my interest in the series fading though after this one regardless of its quality. 3 is normally my limit

Shea i think i have heard that they have plans for 2, but if i remember right i heard it on real rumor mill type sites, so it could be unreliable info

that Old Republic game kinda looks like its being marketed on the coat-tails of that Clone Wars movie that just came out. in other words, it looks like it might be kinda gay
